unexpected adventuers

Chapter 1
Rick slowly opened his eyes it was very bright considering he was in a forest (wait a minute) he thought (what am I doing in a forest?) the last thing he remembered doing was falling asleep on the sofa after a 12 hour shift at work. it was only 12 hours 'cos he had to cover for a friend and fell asleep watching red dwarf on TV "this isn't happening I know I dreaming but it doesn't feel like a dream" a bush rustled behind him and a 'thing' came out of the bush he couldn't describe it. it look like some thing out of a child's imagination. Rick thought he was going mad until he felt something sharp in his back he slowly turned his head and to his surprise standing there was an elf. an elf! she had hair that shone like silver and hung in a plait over her shoulders and her eyes were so blue they look like sapphires. her skin looked so fair Rick thought that if he touched her she'd disappear. obviously he didn't or he might get an arrow in the face. she wore a green tunic with green leggins and a brown cloak so she could hide in the forest. Rick waited for her to speak first "who are you and what are you doing in these woods" the elf said to the man standing in front of her "my name is Rick and if I knew what I was doing in a forest I'd tell you but I don't so I can't" she kept her bow trained on the man in front of her, this strange man in strange clothing with dark brown hair tied in a pony tail and brown eye so light they looked like the were coated in gold. But for some reason she felt her hand lowering and relaxing the bow "so does that mean I can put my hands down now?" Rick asked out of worry "yes you can put your hands down" Rick did so slowly as to not seem threatening "if you don't mind me asking what's your name, mine's Rick". they stared at each other for what seemed like an hour "it's...".
